OFF TO SEE THE WIZ

On January 5, 1975: Charlie Smalls’ The Wiz: The Super Soul Musical opened on Broadway at the Majestic Theatre. The production took home several Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and the film adaptation was released in 1978.
