THE BIGGEST UPSET FOR NON-NEW YORKERS

On January 20, 2008: The New York Giants won the NFC Championship game against the Green Bay Packers by a score of 23-20. This victory led them to Super Bowl XLII against the New England Patriots, and later, Super Bowl Champions for the 2007 season.

FDR MAKES HISTORY

On January 20 1945: Franklin Delano Roosevelt, then governor of New York and the 32nd president of the United States, was inaugurated to his fourth term. About a decade later, a freeway on the east side of New York City was named after Roosevelt, known today as FDR drive.
