FIRST KISS

On January 30, 1973: Rock band, Kiss played their first show at Popcorn (now known as the Coventry) in Queens. The band performed two sets for a crowd of under ten people. Today, they are one of the best-selling bands of all time.

EAST WINS

On January 30, 1973: The East beat the West with a score of 5-4 at the 26th NHL All-Star game. It was the first time the All-Star game was held in NYC, and it was coincidentally held at Madison Square Garden, home of the New York Rangers.
