On February 18, 1977: New York based rock band Kiss made their Madison Square Garden debut. The band was on their Rock & Roll Over Tour, and since then, have made MSG a regular stop on nearly every one of their tours.

On February 18, 1913: The famous painting by French artist, Marcel Duchamp, Nude Descending a Staircase was displayed at an Armory Show located on Lexington Avenue. It was the most talked about painting and described as “an explosion in the shingle factory.” Duchamp’s painting shocked the public, something that was difficult to do at the time.

On February 18, 1982: Rapper Juelz Santana was born in Harlem. He is a member of the hip-hop group The Diplomats and released his debut album, From Me to U, in 2003 under Roc-A-Fella Records. He is currently working on a long awaited third studio album set to release this year.
