JOAN KNOWS BEST?

On June 8, 1933: Comedian and TV host Joan Rivers was born in Brooklyn. She appeared in numerous television series and films over the years, including Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best? alongside her daughter Melissa. She released a book entitled I Hate Everyone…Starting with Me in 2012, which made The New York Times Best Sellers List, and hosted Fashion Police on E!. She passed away in 2014 at age 81.


A WAYANS BROTHER IS BORN

On June 8, 1958: Keenen Ivory Wayans was born in New York City. Wayans directed and produced films such as Scary Movie and White Chicks, as well as a number of others, and has appeared as an actor in films including A Low Down Dirty Shame. Wayans is known for working with his brothers on many projects, and for producing The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show.

 

A FESTIVUS FOR THE REST OF US

On June 8, 1927: Actor Jerry Stiller was born in Brooklyn. He is known for playing the iconic character Frank Costanza on Seinfeld, as well as being a part of the Stiller and Meara comedy team with his wife. He appeared in the comedy film Zoolander alongside his son, Ben Stiller.

 

ROYAL PAINS

On June 8, 1972: Actor Mark Feuerstein was born in New York City. Known for playing the lead role Dr. Hank Lawson on the hit USA network show Royal Pains, Feuerstein originally got his breakthrough as a recurring character on daytime soap opera Loving. He was named one of People Magazine’s 50 most beautiful people in 2003.
