On May 15, 1978: Actor David Krumholtz was born in Queens, known for being an actor and writer for the television show Numb3rs, as well as for his roles in 10 Things I Hate About You and This Is The End. He also appeared alongside Marisa Tomei and Alan Arkin in the classic film, Slums of Beverly Hills.



On May 15, 1918: The first scheduled U.S. Airmail Service was established by the U.S. Postal Service with an inaugural flight from Washington, D.C. to Philadelphia, and then to New York City. The price of authorized airmail postage was 24 cents.
