On July 6, 1975: Rapper 50 Cent was born in South Jamaica, Queens. Born Curtis James Jackson III, 50 Cent has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and also founded the successful record label, G-Unit Records. His nickname, 50 cent, was derived from Kelvin Martin, who was a Brooklyn robber who was also known under the moniker 50 cent.

 

SYLVESTER STALLONE

On July 6, 1946: Actor, screenwriter, and film director Sylvester Stallone was born. Best known for his portrayals of boxer Rocky Balboa and soldier John Rambo, Stallone is famed for his blockbuster Hollywood action roles. Rocky was a box office smash hit, winning three of the ten Academy Awards for which it was nominated, including Best Picture. Stallone has continued to act, write, and direct, including the 2010 hit, The Expendables.

 

MRS. REAGAN

On July 6, 1921: Former First Lady, Nancy Reagan was born in Manhattan. Reagan had a short acting career when she was younger, and eventually met former President Ronald Reagan, who was the president of the Screen Actors Guild at the time. She glamorously renovated the White House and was known for her interest in fashion.
