Where is he from? Azaria was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens. He attended the Kew-Forest School.

What’s he done? Azaria became famous for his voice work on the animated television show The Simpsons, a show that continues to the present. He joined the show having previously performed only one voice over: as the titular animated dog in the failed Fox pilot Hollywood Dog.

Why is he an icon? Azaria performs the voices of Moe Szyslak, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, Chief Wiggum, Comic Book Guy, Carl Carlson and numerous others on The Simpsons. Along with being a very talented voice actor, Azaria has gone on to star in dozens of films and television shows.
