For over 100 years, the New York City subway has been trucking New Yorkers from the Bronx to Brooklyn. This Sunday, Untapped Cities is hosting a tour of the subway system, where people can learn about the deep history of one of the world’s largest tansportation systems. Whether you’ve lived her for decades, or only a few months, this is a great oppurtunity to brush up on some NYC history.

Lexington Candy Shopย ย has been serving up burgers and banana splits since 1925. Right at the corner of 83rd street and Lexington avenue, this little shop is remeniscent of a time when soda bars lined the streets. The shop was dubbed a New York City Landmark by New York Newsday.
