“Stay Ready (What a Life)” by Jhene Aiko feat. Kendrick Lamar

Jhene Aiko’s new EP Sail Out just dropped this week and we can’t get enough of this track featuring Kendrick Lamar.

We’re watching…

Medora

New York Natives was on hand as Rooftop Films and Piper-Heidsieck presented a preview of Andrew Cohn’s and Davy Rothbart’s new documentary MEDORA at the Angel Orensanz Foundation. Celebrating with us – Medora‘s EP and native icon Steve Buscemi, his wife, filmmaker Jo Andres, Piper Kerman (Orange is the New Black), Trieste Kelly Dunn (Banshee), Lola Kirke (Gone Girl) and Lorraine Kirke (fashion designer), Julie Snyder (artist and writer), Celine Dahnier (film director) and Michael Buscemi (Nurse Jackie).

In a big city, there’s nothing like seeing creative natives capturing the value and values of small town America. Our glasses floweth over with toasts to this authentic experience of the places and people that makeup the landscape that is America today. Fun Fact: One of the factories in Medora supplied the original limestone for The Empire State Building. Not So Fun Fact: Our small towns are disappearing. See this film to understand why they matter! Medora is now available on VOD and iTunes.

What Would I Say? Facebook App

This app answers its own question by connecting with your Facebook to generate new status updates based on your previous activity on the social media site. Some are spot-on, some are gibberish, but they are all hilarious. We guarantee that you’ll spend hours generating statuses through this site. “This isn’t funny anymore”? Sorry, WWIS, you’re wrong this time. It’s absolutely still funny.
