We’re eating…

Court Street Grocers Sandwich Shop

In a city with an abundance of options when it comes to food, even the simple task of choosing where to get lunch can become overwhelming. For people in Hell’s Kitchen (as well as Carroll Gardens and Red Hook), that decision might just be a little easier to make.

Located in the Gotham West Market, the Court Street Grocers Sandwich Shop is, in a word, delicious. From wonderful local bread (including gluten-free) and crunchy kettle-cooked potato chips to fresh ingredients and sodas in glass bottles, Court Street is the sandwich shop done right.

Our personal favorite? Don’t miss their Italian Combo Sandwich with a side of Zapp’s Salt & Vinegar chips.

Go forth to 11th Ave today. It’s beautiful day for a walk and sandwich at the Sandwich Shop!!! @gwmarket

We’re going to…

Wolf Hall  on Broadway

Over the years, we’ve received some wonderful imports from across the pond: The Beatles, David Beckham, the Spice Girls, and Harry Potter. And now, the time has come to add another to this storied list.

After unprecedented success at the West End, the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of Wolf Hall — the award-winning, best-selling books turned record-setting plays — have arrived on Broadway for a limited, can’t-miss engagement. Taking place in King Henry VIII’s Tudor England, Wolf Hall is unexpectedly contemporary, and the most enjoyable history lesson you’ll ever have.

I’m a planner by nature, so as you might expect, I like to stay on top of the weather conditions. There’s nothing I hate more than neglecting to grab my umbrella in the morning before a rainy afternoon (or wearing nice shoes, for that matter). Thankfully, there’s the Storm app.

Storm is one of the best weather apps I’ve ever encountered. The radar sweeps in real time, and is the highest resolution available. Detailed storm tracking and customizable alerts and push notifications sweeten the deal, too. And with 100,000 weather stations at its disposal, Storm provides hyper-local forecast results, perfect for a compulsive planner like me.
