A DOLL’S LIFE ISN’T LONG

On September 26, 1982: The musical A Doll’s Life closed at the Mark Hellinger Theatre after 5 performances. The production is known as one of Broadway’s biggest flops.

BORN ON THIS DAY: HELEN GIULIANI

On September 26, 1909: Helen D’Avanzo was born in Brooklyn. She was one of seven children. She married barkeeper Harold Giuliani in 1936 and gave birth to Rudolph Giuliani (you may be familiar with his mayoral work) in 1944.
