Bill Cannon is a retired NYPD homicide sergeant turned stand-up comic, playing at The Stand, Gotham Comedy Club, The Brokerage, and other famous New York-area comedy venues.
A 27-year veteran of the New York City police force, Bill was a member of the City Wide Anti-Crime Unit during the height of the crack epidemic. He later served in Spanish Harlem, and was one of many first responders who rushed to the City’s aid following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Currently, Bill is a professor of criminal justice at Monroe College specializing in criminal, robbery, and homicide investigation, as well as security management. He’s also provided expert analysis for News 12 The Bronx and Discovery Channel.
Bill lives in Westchester County with his wife Joana and his two sons Casey and Jake.
